The Public Health 3+2 Program with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) allows bet36365体育 students to continue their education at UNMC resulting in a dual degree with a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master in Public Health (MPH) in five years. This program provides students interested in public health an opportunity to complete their BS and MPH in a shorter time frame and at a reduced cost than completing both degrees separately (141 credit hours vs 162 credit hours).

During students’ first three years of study, they will complete all General Studies requirements and 99 total hours. During the 4th year of the program, students will complete 24 graduate credit hours from UNMC of which 21 will transfer back to bet36365体育 for completion of the Bachelors of Science in Applied Health Sciences degree. In year 5, students will complete remaining requirements for the Masters in Public Health program (accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health).

Students will gain the MPH degree in one of the following concentration areas: biostatistics, epidemiology, emergency preparedness, environmental and occupational health, health promotion, maternal and child health or public health administration and policy.

Any major can be chosen for the 3+2 Program. Students will work with their Public Health Advisor to develop an integrated plan of study to best prepare for graduate school and career interests.

Program Eligibility

Students are eligible to apply for a combined 3+2 program in Public Health if:
